This is a great non-profit with a vision to enrich lives and build community as leaders in youth mentoring. I have been volunteering with this organization since 2008. You may donate $ or become a volunteer.
Here is their mission, straight from their website:
We are dedicated to Northern Colorado youth who are facing significant challenges in their lives. Since 1978, Partners Mentoring Youth has been pursuing our mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships between positive adult role models and youth facing challenges in their personal, social, and academic lives.
Through our mentoring programs, Partners Mentoring Youth serves hundreds of youth in Larimer and Northern Weld counties. In 2016, we worked with nearly 450 youth in our communities; in 2017, our goal is to grow our reach to serve 500 children. Our mentors volunteer thousands of hours each year supporting youth who need it most.
We focus on ensuring we are providing the best possible services for our youth by providing research-based programs that follow best practices in youth mentoring. We collect data from our partnerships for our annual evaluation to ensure our programs make a difference—and they do! After one year in our programs, youth with mentors gain relationship and interpersonal skills, more confidence, improved attitudes about substance use, and hope for the future.
